Ephesians 6:11
Put on the full amor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
Don’t doubt for a moment the devil’s existence, and don’t doubt for a moment that he is your enemy. Forget the cute cartoon images of an impish figure with a pitchfork and a red suit. Satan is absolutely malicious and evil, and he has great influence over this world. The Bible says, “Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). Satan is strong, and he is determined to make you stumble. He is also clever and scheming, bent on deceiving and outmaneuvering us at every turn.
But we are not defenseless! God has provided us with all the armor we need – armor so strong that Satan and his servants cannot penetrate it. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, the Word of God, prayer – every one of these has a role in defeating our adversary. (You can read Paul’s full description in Ephesians 6:10-18).
What pieces of God’s armor are missing in your life? Don’t let another day go by without putting on “the full armor of God.”
God Bless You All!
